Microsoft Admin – Redeem your Microsoft Macbook Pro & Gift Voucher (Award Scam)

This one is classic.  They want me to text my information to some unknown number, claiming to be Microsoft.  Seriously?  Don’t ever text random numbers!  The disclaimer at the bottom is in Italian, yet this is from Microsoft USA.  Riiiight.  And, of course, check out the email address.  So NOT a Microsoft address.  Seriously, people…there are NO random awards that come in an email!  Do NOT provide them with your info!  ~BD

Dear Microsoft User,

Microsoft is rewarding you with a brand new 15.4″ MacBook Pro Notebook Computer with a Microsoft gift voucher worth $50,000.00 for your individual, educational and business concern. Last years awardees include Alliance Infrastructure, Rackspace Hosting and NetApp.  (Maybe it’s just me, but I’m pretty sure Microsoft uses proper grammar.)

To redeem voucher, endeavor to visit our friendship center nationwide, TEXT your Full Names and Mailing address to 805-253-3592 or opt out to send us an email using msa.applications@mail.mn. Kindly note that postage charges may apply.  (Aha…betcha that’s the scam.  I’ll have to send money – via Western Union of course – to get my prize.  Hell no.)

Thank you for your continued patronage, usage of Microsoft windows & office online as we anticipate your immediate correspondence.
